Each year, the Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce takes great pride in awarding the Citizen of the Year honorees. These honors are bestowed by the Chamber on a group or an individual who has distinguished themselves by contributing their time and talent to benefit the entire Mt. Kisco community.
The Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce is proud to honor George Arco, President of Arco Cleaning, as our 2010 Citizen of the Year. If you live or work in Mount Kisco, you have probably seen or heard of George. A valuable resident of our community since he left his home town of Valhalla in 1973, and moved to Mt. Kisco, in order to expand his business. George is always around to lend a helping hand. George volunteers unselfishly to help make Mount Kisco the wonderful town it is.
At Mutual Engine and Hose Company #1, he has volunteered to keep our homes and businesses protected for the past 12 years. Serving on various committees in town; he contributes on the Mount Kisco Beautification Committee, organizes and chairs the Mt. Kisco Sales Days, and offers his input on the traffic challenges that face our village.
The Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce knows George Arco as Past Vice President, and Board Member since 1992 where his contributions to our business community are numerous. George has based his business, Arco Cleaning, on trust and good relations; which is exactly what George is all about.
43rd Annual Citizen of the Year Dinner
What a night! We had a sold out room at the Holiday Inn - Mt. Kisco in honor of George Arco, Citizen of the Year and the Mt. Kisco Medical Group, Outstanding Business of the Year.
The presentations were touching, the acceptances were sincere, the food was awesome, and the silent auction and raffles were glorious!
The Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce would like to thank our sponsors for the evening: A & J Homecare, Chief Kisco Sponsor; Diamond Properties and Mt. Kisco Medical Group, Algonquin Sponsors; and Professional Indemnity Agency, Shamberg, Marwell, Davis & Hollis, PC and D’Errico Jewelry, our Iroquois Sponsors.
Vince Lemma, President of the Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce was a wonderful host and emcee for the evening. Donald Ford led our guests in the pledge of allegiance and Rev. Willett Porter eloquently said the invocation. A special thanks goes to Mayor J. Michael Cindrich who presented Dr. Scott Hayworth, President/ CEO
